Our Mission

About Us

Advancing social and economic rights through research, education, and litigation.

The Social Rights Advocacy Centre (SRAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting social and economic rights in Canada and internationally. We work to ensure that governments are accountable for their human rights obligations, particularly those related to poverty, housing, and equality.

Our Work

SRAC engages in a variety of activities to advance social rights, including:

  • Strategic Litigation: Intervening in key court cases to establish legal precedents that protect social and economic rights.
  • Research: Conducting research on social rights issues and developing policy recommendations.
  • Public Education: Producing educational materials and organizing workshops to raise awareness about social rights.
  • International Advocacy: Participating in UN review processes and collaborating with international human rights organizations.
